- Stop using Hydroquinone 2-3 days before your treatment.
- If you have a history of cold sores, start preventative treatment with Valtrex or something similar as soon as possible.
- Exfoliate weekly to prevent buildup
- Use Vitamin C serum to protect skin from free radicals.
- Avoid heat sources such as hot showers, saunas, and cardio workouts that may produce sweat for 24 hours to keep the area clean.
- The next morning, wash your face with the products recommended by your doctor.
- Discuss the continuation of your regular regimen after treatment.
- For two days after treatment, avoid using topical Retin-A.
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure and tanning beds for at least three days after treatment.
