Dr Sanjay Sakhamuri is the founder and lead consultant for cosmetic surgery at Sasha Luxe Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Center. Dr Sanjay completed his fellowship in cosmetic surgery, facial & general, from renowned D Y Patil University, Mumbai. He has gained extensive professional experience while working with celebrity Cosmetic surgeon Dr Mohan Thomas for the past years in Mumbai. He has also trained and practised in Belgium, where he has gained immense expertise in medicine.

What do we do at Sasha?

Before treatment, the scalp is washed, and local anaesthesia is given to numb the area of surgery.

Then a follicular unit extraction procedure is performed to transplant hair follicles to the desired location.

The procedure might take around 6-8 hours or more which is needed to transplant 3000 hair grafts in a single session. If the required graft is more than 3000 we plan a second session.

OUR WORLD-CLASS EQUIPMENT

At Sasha Clinic, our innovative surgical team has extensive experience in the most advanced and demanding implantation method available, Choi Implanter Pen DHI, from Turkey. This technique allows us to create denser hairlines, implant between existing hair and control the angle of graft implantation, something impossible with any other implantation methods.

What is the risk associated with a hair transplant?

There is little risk associated with the procedure as it is a surgical procedure; however, any side effects will subside within a few weeks. Infection, bleeding, swelling, crust formation at the surgical site, itching, folliculitis are a few risks post-treatment.

How long does it take for the transplanted hair to grow?

It may be noted that the transplanted hair will fall out after a few weeks post hair transplantation due to “shock loss”. However, new hair growth will begin in 3-4 weeks. After that, a complete result can be expected in 8-9 months.

Is laser hair reduction safe?

Yes, laser hair reduction has proven to be clinically safe, and it has been used for many years in aesthetic procedures. We take utmost care to follow all protective measures, and we provide our clients with eye goggles to protect their eyes from the laser light. At Sasha, we use US FDA approved machines that pass through stringent regulatory procedures and then allow for safe clinical use.

Is laser hair reduction a painful process?

Laser hair reduction is a non-invasive method of hair reduction that does not cause any pain except for the slight discomfort due to the heat from the laser light. The burning sensation from the laser light is reduced with the cool gliding tip of the laser, which blows cool air to soothe the skin.
