- 3 days before treatment, avoid Retin-A, retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, hydroquinone, and benzyl peroxide.
- Pre-treatment numbing crème will be used. Three days before the treatment, no sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning creams.
- Chemical peels, waxing, and chemical depilatories cannot be used or performed two weeks before treatment.
- On the day of the treatment, do not shave the treated region.
- To minimize swelling and discomfort, apply ice packs.
- Wear sunscreen for many weeks following your treatment.
- During this time, your skin will be especially sensitive to the sun. If your doctor has prescribed antibiotic creams or emollients, use them.
- After your treatment, use a mild cleanser. Wear no makeup till the following day.
- You can resume your daily skincare routine after 24 hours.
